Meet Dr. Maya Ellison
I’m a licensed clinical psychologist who works with children, teens, and their families. My approach is warm, collaborative and grounded in deep respect for each child’s personality, needs and pace.
Before starting Bright Path Counseling, I spent years working in pediatric and school-based settings. That experience taught me how kids grow, how they communicate (in words or not), and how important it is to support the full context of their lives—from the classroom to the kitchen table.
I use play-based and trauma-informed approaches to help children express what’s often too big or too complex to say. With teens, I create space for exploration, honesty, and emotional safety. And for parents, I offer guidance, insight and ongoing support when things feel uncertain.
You’re not expected to have all the answers—that’s why I’m here.
